About Mecha Maiko
Mecha Maiko is a Juno-nominated synth pop project by Hayley Stewart. She began her musical career as the lead producer and a vocalist for the synthwave act Dead Astronauts between 2011-2016. Dubbed “one of synthwave’s most recognizable voices” by NewRetroWave, Hayley has written and sung on a number of tracks by the likes of FM Attack, Perturbator, and Betamaxx. In 2022 she released NOT OK , which received a nomination for Electronic Album Of The Year at the 2023 Juno Awards.
