Signing to Metalheadz in 2016, has seen Detboi reach a career high by collaborating with Goldie on his first Metalheadz release “Joyride” and scoring a top 10 UK vinyl singles chart hit with thuggish knuckle dragging “Secret Venom”.While his sound offers explosions of old-skool breakbeats, injected with angelic vocals that glimmer into a cinematic darkness, it sets a vision of the Headz sound thats both past and very very future.Detboi’s vision for his Metalheadz releases is to build on Metalheadz' legendary legacy rather than rehashing it. Its this attitude that constantly sees him challenging tempos and linear DnB landscapes.
