The Australian born, Watergate Berlin resident heads up Arms & Legs Records alongside Daniel Steinberg and is a favourite of BBC Radio 1's Danny Howard, who recently invited her to do a Radio 1 Mini-Mix and Sarah Story, who made Velvet’s single ‘The Undertaker’ her Radio 1 Future Dance track of the week. Velvet is no stranger to the top of the charts either, clocking up numerous Beatport top 10 positions in the past year while gaining support from industry peers such as The Blessed Madonna, Cassy, Eats Everything and Jamie Jones. Her tracks have been remixed by legends including Louie Vega, Mark Broom and Cari Lekebusch, a testament to her broad tastes and appeal. Velvet's sound channels her influences of Chicago and Detroit house, golden era hip-hop and UK big beat all with unique, fresh and forward thinking twist. It's a joyous concoction that has earned her DJ slots across the globe from Boiler Room, Snowbombing, Revolver Melbourne, Mint Club Leeds, Jaeger Oslo, Culture Box Copenhagen, Ministry of Sound London and Pacha Barcelona.
