Matsu is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer known for technical, high-impact club sets shaped by over a decade behind the decks. With roots in world-renowned DJ battles, he brings a DJ’s perspective to modern dance music, with house at the core while pulling from global club influences including UKG, baile, breakbeat, and bass-driven styles. His productions focus on genre-blurring club records that balance precise detail with dance floor functionality, moving fluidly across lanes while staying grounded in rave culture. With releases on Dirtybird, Confession, Rules Don’t Apply, Fool’s Gold, Insomniac, Nervous, and All The People, this approach has earned continued support from A-list DJs and consistent Beatport chart placements, including a recent Beatport #2. DJ Mag has since named him one of their emerging artists to watch. Beyond his solo work, Matsu is one half of Omicasa alongside the legendary DJ Craze, a collaboration that serves as a clear intergenerational co-sign. Together, they also run Slow Roast Records.
