Moy Santana is a techno and house DJ and producer based in Spain, with a career built over more than two decades across record shops, radio stations and club booths. Rooted in Detroit techno as one of his core references, his sound moves between the hypnotic and deep, the contemporary and the experimental, free from genre constraints. As co-founder and A&R of Sungate, he has shaped a rigorous editorial vision that also defines the way he plays: thoughtful, demanding sets that work just as well in intimate clubs as on large festival stages. He brings the same sensibility to 'Observatory', the show on Openlab Radio, where he explores the wider spectrum of electronic music that shapes the Sungate universe. His productions, marked by a love for vintage synthesizers and analog drum machines, aim for dancefloor impact without sacrificing character, and his latest releases on Sungate have been remixed by artists such as Sterac, Inland, Markus Suckut and Arkajo. Alongside Finalversion3, he forms Fase Bipolar, a futuristic and spatial techno project with releases on Sungate and on ARA, Kangding Ray's label.
