Elternhouse is a Tech House project founded by Bavarian brothers Marius and Mika, known for their distinctive "Happy Dirty Tech House" sound. Starting as resident DJs at Nuremberg’s Haus 33, one of the city’s most iconic techno clubs, they quickly gained a loyal fan base with their infectious beats and electrifying performances. In 2019, they took their vision further by launching We Are Freaks Records, a label supporting rising talents while producing tracks on acclaimed labels like Toolroom, Dirtybird, This Ain’t Bristol, Repopulate Mars, IN/ROTATION, and Rawsome Recordings. Their releases have earned them spots on Beatport’s Top Tech House Tracks, solidifying their reputation in the global scene. To expand their reach, Mika moved to Berlin in 2021 to represent Elternhouse in the capital, while Marius continued building the project in Nuremberg. By 2022, the duo began performing internationally, with shows in Prague, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Bergamo. At the end of 2024, Mika decided to take an indefinite break from actively performing and managing Elternhouse to focus on other personal and professional pursuits. However, he remains involved in the background, supporting the project and contributing to its continued success. Marius now represents Elternhouse on stage and in public, ensuring the project stays vibrant and active. Despite this shift, Elternhouse and We Are Freaks Records remain committed to their mission of delivering unforgettable beats, supporting new talent, and hosting standout events. With exciting plans, collaborations, and performances ahead, Elternhouse continues to evolve while staying true to its roots.
