4 Strings is a successful Dutch trance music duo formed in year 2000 by DJs and producers Carlo Resoort and Jan de Vos. The duo met in 1986, bonding over a shared passion for early dance music, and began composing tracks together by the early 90s. As 4 Strings the duo achieved massive global success with their signature track "Take Me Away (Into the Night)”, which has since become one of the most iconic trance tracks of the early 2000s. Originally a purely instrumental record titled "Into the Night", a retitled vocal version "Take Me Away (Into the Night)", was officially released in 2002. It peaked at Number 15 on the UK Singles Chart in May 2002, and reached the Top 40 across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Following "Take Me Away (Into The Night)”, the group secured four more UK chart hits between 2002 and 2004, including "Diving", "Turn It Around", and "Let It Rain".
