Acerca de Aarp

Born in the 1990s and formerly known as The Wanderer, Aārp began his musical journey with a strong foundation in classical music, spending his childhood playing the viola in an orchestra. Introduced to electronic music at the age of 14 through his brother, who made him listen to Squarepusher’s Planetarium, he soon discovered Aphex Twin, Autechre and Amon Tobin, artists who would become lasting references. Influenced by Warp and Ninja Tune legends, Aārp gradually developed a hybrid musical language where counterpoint, spatial organisation and timbral interplay bridge classical and electronic worlds. After a remix for Downliners Sekt, he joined InFiné and released his debut EP ArchiTextures in 2016 under the name The Wanderer. In parallel with his work as a young teacher, he composed the Nova Gemmae EP in 2019, refining his practice between composition, electronics and pedagogy. That same year, Aārp released Propaganda, his debut album inspired by contemporary social crises. Drawing from Edward Bernays’ book Propaganda, the album treats political injunctions and artificial discourse with irony, transforming their violence and dishonesty into a critical and musical statement.
