The Bastardz are funk based soul/pop/jazz/ genre fluid band, floating between Zagreb and Amsterdam, where Jex, the guitarist, songwriter and founder of the band, often resides and works with the prominent dutch and international musicians. The Bastardz are known for their own material which includes many regional hitsongs and albums with the original music and they are quite famous for their duets with other funk/soul/jazz oriented artists and musicians, including the legendary “MR. DEFUNKT” Joseph Bowie of the iconic band DEFUNKT from NYC, late croatian funk superstar DINO DVORNIK, one and only RAMBO AMADEUS, fabulous SONGKILLERS and their frontman BANE, the croatian jazz/funk/rock queen ZDENKA KOVAČIČEK, dutch trumpet legend SASKIA LAROO, brilliant vocalists MARIO HULJEV and IVANA KINDL , lovely DARIA HODNIK and her fantastic drummer /husband DADO MARINKOVIĆ, wonderful ŽANAMARI, PETRA ANTOLIĆ, MAJA SAVIĆ, legendary DAVOR GOBAC and many others!
