Over Dkult

DKult is a techno project from a Portuguese artist whose journey within electronic music began in 1998. Over more than two decades, DKult has established himself as one of the most respected and influential figures within the Portuguese underground techno movement, recognized for his dark atmospheres, hypnotic grooves, and powerful driving rhythms. His passion for techno emerged at an early age and evolved into a lifelong commitment to the culture, the music, and the community surrounding it. Throughout his career, DKult has remained dedicated to the underground ethos of techno, prioritizing artistic integrity, knowledge sharing, and community development over commercial recognition. A pioneering presence within the Portuguese scene, DKult became one of the first Portuguese artists to be featured on Fnoob Techno Radio in the United Kingdom, helping introduce Portuguese underground techno to an international audience and opening doors for future generations of artists. His association with Naked Lunch Records, founded by A.Paul, further strengthened his international reputation. Through numerous releases, collaborations, and performances, DKult contributed to the growth and recognition of Portuguese techno on a global scale. Over the years, DKult has shared stages and line-ups with internationally acclaimed artists including A.Paul, The Advent, Sian, Marco Bailey, Angel Alanis, DJ Pepo, Samuel L Session, Space DJz, Spiros Kaloumenos, Alex Dolby, Human-Noyd, Ritzi Lee, Dolby D, Ortin Cam, Angy Kore, DJ Link, Dextro and many others. His music has been released on respected international labels including Naked Lunch Records, Sleaze Records (UK), Kombination Research, Dolma Records, Unknown Territory, ONH.CET Records, Gobsmacked Records, Konkrett Records, #thatechno, and numerous others. Beyond his productions and performances, DKult has become known for his generosity and willingness to mentor aspiring artists. Throughout his career, he has openly shared knowledge about music production, DJing, and the realities of building a sustainable artistic path. His approach has helped inspire and support countless producers and DJs entering the electronic music scene. His influence became so significant that dedicated "DKult Parties" emerged as celebrations of his contribution to the underground movement, simultaneously creating opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their talent and connect with wider audiences. Officially, DKult has collaborated and remixed artists such as Axel Karakasis, A.Paul, Boriqua Tribez, Dario Sorano, Dextro, Durtysoxxx, Nicolas Cuer, Marco Ginelli, Steve Shaden, Eric Sneo, DJ Murphy, Niereich, Frank Savio, SAMA, Feyser, Gabros, Atze Ton, Paula Cazenave, Israel Toledo, Dolby D, Lex Gorrie, Stevie Wilson, Sandro Galli, Sebastian Groth and many more. His achievements include winning the Dance TV (SIC Radical) Best DJ Set competition in 2012 and reaching #5 in the Beatport Hard Techno Artist rankings in 2015.
