1. Who you buy from
growyour.music is operated by Lukas Pauka, established in the Netherlands (see our Imprint). Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, United Kingdom), which acts as the merchant of record — Paddle is the seller on the transaction, registers and remits VAT where it is due, issues your invoice, and is the party your bank or card issuer sees.
In practice that means two things. Your receipt and invoice come from Paddle, not from us — so you will see Paddle on your statement. And a refund, when one is due under this policy, is issued by Paddle back to the original payment method.
Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself, alongside our Terms of Service. Where this policy and Paddle's terms both give you a right, you keep whichever is more favourable to you.
2. The 7-day feedback guarantee (demo drops)
A demo drop costs 2 credits (€2.00). When you drop a demo, the label has 7 days to come back with structured feedback. This is the one promise the platform enforces automatically — you never have to file a claim to collect on it.
If the deadline passes with no feedback, the submission is marked timed out and you get four moves. Three of them are free:
- Take your credits back. The 2 credits you spent return to your balance in full. Refunded credits never expire, whatever the normal 12-month rule says.
- Forward it to another label — free. The credits stay spent, but they buy you a fresh 7-day window with someone else.
- Give them longer — free, and once per submission. Pushes the deadline out another 7 days without re-pestering the label. If they still go quiet, taking your credits back stays open.
- Re-send it to the same label. This one costs 2 credits again, because it is a new submission with a new guarantee attached.
A submission can only be refunded once. If your credits have already come back, the button tells you so rather than paying you twice.
If the demo never reached the label, you do not wait at all. When our email to a label hard-bounces we refund that submission and close it without being asked — there is nobody on the other end to wait for. For the same reason, those submissions cannot be extended: giving a broken address another 7 days is waiting on nothing. If the submission was paid by card rather than credits, we flag it for a refund to your card instead of handing you credits you did not buy.
The guarantee is on the deadline, not on the verdict. Feedback that arrives in time and says no is the guarantee working. We cannot refund you for a label not signing your track, and we would not want to sell you a service that pretended otherwise.
3. Credits
Credits are the platform's internal unit — 1 credit = €1.00 — and they pay for demo drops, ad campaigns and pool sends. Credits you buy in a top-up pack never expire. Credits granted with a subscription expire 12 months after they land, oldest spent first.
- Unspent credits are not converted back to money. A top-up is a purchase of platform credit, not a deposit — outside the withdrawal right in section 6, we do not buy credits back for cash.
- Spent credits come back as credits. Every refund the platform issues on its own — the feedback guarantee, an undelivered demo — returns credits to your balance, not money to your card.
- Credits are not transferable between accounts and have no cash value on their own.
If a top-up is charged twice, or charged and never credited, that is a billing error rather than a refund request — write to us and we will fix it and refund the duplicate.
4. Subscriptions
Plans bill monthly or annually in advance. You can cancel at any time from billing settings or from the billing portal linked there.
- Cancelling never cuts you off mid-period. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep everything your plan gives you until then. We do not refund the remainder of that period, because you still have it.
- Cancelling is not deleting. Your links, pre-saves, gates and fan data stay; you drop to the free Spark plan and its limits at the boundary.
- Credits already granted are yours. Cancelling does not claw back the monthly credits your plan has already put in your balance.
- You can undo a scheduled cancellation any time before it takes effect, from the same screen.
If a renewal caught you by surprise — you meant to cancel, did not, and have not used the new period — write to us. That is a judgement call rather than an automatic right, and we would rather make it in your favour than keep money from someone who is not using the product.
5. Ad campaigns
An ad campaign budget is charged up front and split between ad spend, the platform fee and the Creator Fund.
- Rejected by the ad platform → refunded. If Meta rejects your campaign, we refund the charge in full to the original payment method automatically. You do not need to ask.
- Rejected by our review → refunded. Same outcome if a campaign does not clear our own review before it goes live.
- Spend that has already run is not refundable. Once a campaign is live the money is with the ad platform and has bought real impressions. If a campaign stops early, the unspent balance is what comes back.
Ads are ads: we do not guarantee a number of streams, follows or saves, and no performance outcome triggers a refund.
6. Your statutory right of withdrawal (EU / UK)
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. This right sits on top of everything above — nothing on this page removes it.
There is one carve-out worth knowing about, because it is the law rather than our preference. For digital content and services delivered immediately, the withdrawal right ends once performance has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you are giving it up. In plain terms: if you buy credits and spend them, or start a plan and use it, that part is done and is not coming back under this right. Anything untouched still is.
Paddle, as merchant of record, is the party that handles withdrawal requests. You can raise one with them directly, or write to us and we will pass it on — either route works and neither costs you the right.
7. How to ask for a refund
Most of what this page describes is automatic — the feedback guarantee and the ad rejection refunds need no request at all. For anything else:
- Email support@growyour.music from the address on your account, with the invoice number or transaction id from your Paddle receipt.
- Or raise it directly with Paddle through the link on that receipt — they are the merchant of record and can action it without us.
We aim to answer within two business days. Where a refund is due, Paddle issues it to the original payment method; how long it then takes to appear is your bank's call, typically 5–10 business days.
Please talk to us before opening a chargeback. Not because we will argue — because a chargeback locks the account while the dispute runs, which usually costs you more than the money is worth. We would rather just refund you.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The version in force for a given purchase is the one published on the day you made it, and we will not apply a less favourable version retroactively. Material changes are announced by email to subscribers before they take effect.
