Italian duo Doomwork, composed of Alessandro and Claudio, have carved a distinctive and respected path through the global techno and house landscape for over a decade. Forming in 2008, the duo rapidly moved from success to staple, initially drawing their electronic education from the burgeoning Italian scene around the turn of the millennium. This grounding quickly expanded to embrace the foundational, pioneering heritage of Detroit techno and Chicago house, forming the bedrock for their signature meaty grooves. This deep technical respect is expertly fused with a dynamic appreciation for stadium-sized dance innovators (The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim), resulting in a sound that possesses both credibility and a dash of accessible pop sensibility. Doomwork’s output is a slinky, sophisticated take on deep, melodic house and techno. It perfectly straddles the divide between the accessible and the credible, delivering emotive and immersive music where bold melodies and distinctive riffs are locked into rolling rhythms and subtle atmospherics. The duo’s philosophy remains: "Our music is ever-changing. We love to find new feelings from all genres and mix them in our personal point of view to give a depth touch to the tracks.” Their career quickly escalated. Within a year of production, they hit the top of the Beatport Chart with the huge track "Jazzy Stuff," catching the attention of the scene's biggest players. This was not an isolated event; Doomwork has reached the #1 position on the Beatport charts several times. Their high standing was further recognized in 2010 when they were nominated at the prestigious Beatport Oscar Awards for the Best Deep House Track. This initial surge led to releases and remixes on some of the most acclaimed labels in dance music. Their foundational years saw pivotal releases on Holland’s 100% Pure and Area Remote (2000 And One), SAW Recordings (Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero), Tronic (Christian Smith), and Audiomatique (Steve Bug). Their acclaimed debut album, Club Abduction, dropped in 2012, further solidifying their position, followed by an appearance on Sven Väth’s Cocoon ‘L’ compilation. Building on this powerful legacy, Doomwork has continued to evolve and maintain an active presence in the electronic scene, delivering sophisticated tracks on key imprints like Audiofly’s Supernature and an inclusion on Nick Warren’s latest Renaissance compilation. Looking to the immediate future, their trajectory remains upward: At the end of November 2025, they released the “Winning The War On Error” EP on Jennifer Cardini's respected label, Dischi Autunno. This release solidifies their current relevancy and dedication to sonic innovation. Outside of the studio, Doomwork has consistently refined and delivered their stunning live set, performing at legendary venues across the world, including Barcelona’s Elrow 14, Florence’s Tenax, and Tokyo’s Air Club. While the dancefloor remains a clear priority, their creative scope has also expanded, with a burgeoning portfolio of work in the soundtrack area for films, computer games, and other media projects. Their ambition is simple: “We'd like to be respected artists with a recognisable sound and a great live act show. To be a benchmark in the music world is our goal and to do that would give us great satisfaction.” With multiple chart-topping hits, industry nominations, and a major new release on Dischi Autunno, Doomwork continues their dedicated focus on making people move their feet, securing their place as consistently compelling and contemporary artists in electronic music.
