His monster amp blasts ignite dance riots, while his sensual melodies aim straight for your heart.In late 2011, D.V.S* released “Coming Up For Air,” a 30 song double album. Vol. 1 portrayed his late night bass driven music, while Vol. 2 was filled with reflective downtempo and pieces. This unique independent release had over 25,000 streams in the first monthAs a prolific producer, D.V.S* has released various tracks on Daly City Records, 1320 Records, Dublab, Loci Records, Pretty Lights Music, Electronic Musician Magazine, Gravitas Recordings, Soulection, and his own label, Octave Memory.As a diverse performer, he has spent considerable time on the road with electronic acts like Tycho, Random Rab, Ott, Big Gigantic, EOT O, Beats Antique, Bluetech, Tipper, Emancipator, Govinda, Lotus, MartyParty, and Ana Sia.No stranger to the live band scene, D.V.S* (aka Derek VanScoten) has also performed as a respected multi- instrumentalist with talents as diverse as Devotchka, The Motet, DJ Logic, and the Boulder Philharmonic.In January 2013, D.V.S* was one of nine performers brought to Los Angeles for the Ableton 9/ Push premiere party.
