Over Jancen

Jancen (real name Jurriaan Jansen) is a techno DJ and producer based in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He focuses on a powerful, hypnotic sound. His tracks are built on heavy, modern grooves and deep, driving kicks, but he often threads in distinct touches of classic techno, particularly the Detroit-style synth work and textures he uses. Jancen has been steadily building his catalog on significant international labels. This includes standout EPs and singles on Figure (where he also collaborated with label founder Len Faki) as well as releases on Mutual Rytm. He is continually developing his releases to contribute to the current landscape of hypnotic and groove-focused techno.
