As the vocalist for madcap house wayfarers dOP, Jaw has blossomed into one of the most distinctive performers in a scene where few dare to cross the barrier of the DJ booth.A fearsome touring schedule since first emerging in 2007 has undoubtedly honed JAW’s skills, but it comes naturally to him to be working hard. From selling popcorn at Euro Disney to manning a sex shop, grafting in a kitchen to fronting a hotel reception, Jaw has served his time in unforgiving jobs and unsociable hours.From the age of 13 he was experimenting with music, playing in bands before being accidentally thrust in front of a microphone, developing as a singer ever since and ultimately morphing into the crooning prince of the party we know and love today. As dOP has taken him ever further around the globe, Jaw has seen the opportunity to develop his own project, grand in scale and wild in style, reflecting his work ethic and a desire to connect with and understand the world around him.Working with a host of different producers across 20 tracks, “Midtown” is proof that JAW doesn’t do things in half measures. His intention is to make the perfect introductory statement, identifying himself in every shade of music to allow listeners the full picture.
