Vito Lucente, known worldwide as Junior Jack, is an Italian-born, Belgium-based house music producer and DJ whose career spans over three decades. Born in Rutigliano, Italy in 1971, he moved to Brussels at 14 and quickly found his way into the electronic music scene. After early success producing Eurodance act Benny B, Lucente pivoted to house music in the mid-90s under the Mr. Jack alias. His breakthrough came with 'My Feeling' (2000), which topped the European dance charts — a first for a Benelux-based producer. He followed with a string of UK Top 40 hits including 'Thrill Me', 'E Samba', 'Stupidisco', and 'Da Hype' (featuring Robert Smith of The Cure). In 2003, recording as Room 5, he reached #1 in the UK with 'Make Luv' — a reimagining of Oliver Cheatham's 1983 classic that held the top spot for four weeks and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. His album 'Trust It' (2004) cemented his status as one of European house music's most important figures. With residencies at Ministry of Sound and Pacha Ibiza, and collaborations with Kid Crème, Jocelyn Brown, and Ron Carroll, Junior Jack became a household name in dance music. In 2017, Defected Records honoured his legacy with a House Masters compilation. He co-founded Adesso Music in 2019 with Pat BDS, celebrating its 100th release in 2025.
