Your right to opt out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information — including the cross-contextual behavioural advertising signals that ad platforms collect through pixels and cookies.
growyour.music does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. We do, however, share certain pixel events with advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, Google, Reddit) when you consent to marketing cookies. Use the form below to withdraw that consent and opt out of this sharing. This will:
- Disable marketing cookies and tracking pixels on your device.
- Record your opt-out in our consent audit log so we can honour it going forward.
- If you are logged in, permanently set a "Do Not Sell" flag on your account.
We also automatically honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends Sec-GPC: 1 we treat it as an affirmative opt-out for that browser session, no form required.
Submit an opt-out request
You do not need an account to submit this form. Providing an email address is optional; without it we record the opt-out against a one-way hash of your IP so we can still demonstrate we received it.
Other ways to opt out
- Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser (built into Firefox, DuckDuckGo, Brave; available via extensions elsewhere). We honour it automatically.
- Click "Cookies" in the site footer to re-open the preferences modal and deselect Marketing.
- If you have an account, visit /settings/notifications to manage email categories.
- Email privacy@growyour.music with the subject line "Do Not Sell".
