DVBBS are a multi-platinum electronic duo from Toronto — brothers Alexandre and Christopher van den Hoef — and one of Canada’s most globally successful dance acts, with 5.7 billion streams, 28.9 million Shazams, and nearly 10 million followers. Their 2013 breakout “Tsunami” hit No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart — one of only thirteen Canadian acts ever to do so — and sits in Spotify’s Billions Club with platinum certs across nine countries. The catalogue holds 15+ platinum certifications globally. DVBBS hold multiple Juno nominations, won Electronic Artist of the Year and Single of the Year at the CMW Indie Awards, earned a SOCAN Dance Music Award for “West Coast,” and charted in the DJ Mag Top 100 for six consecutive years, peaking at No. 16. In 2025, “Move A Little Closer” with Abi Flynn (Kanary/Ultra/Sony) hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay, three weeks No. 1 on Mediabase U.S. Dance Radio, and won Dance/Electro Pop Song of the Year at the 2026 EDMAs in Miami. Collaborators include Nelly Furtado, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Galantis, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Blackbear, Wiz Khalifa, Kane Brown, 2 Chainz, and Quinn XCII. They’ve delivered 1,000+ shows across 75+ countries, headlining Tomorrowland, Ultra, Lollapalooza, EDC, and Creamfields. DVBBS founded Kanary Records, which has run JVs with Spinnin’ and Ultra. After multiple seven-figure deals, DVBBS and Kanary go fully independent this year for the first time in over a decade.
