Producer, musician and DJ who has been active in the scene since 2010. Initially influenced by funk, rock, and nu metal, he transitioned to electronic music, captivated by the autonomy it offered in music production. This shift allowed him to craft a distinctive sound that blends live instrumentation with electronic elements, reflecting his diverse musical background. In 2011, Roman founded Occulti, a label dedicated to releasing quality d&b tracks with hypnotic vibes. Occulti also runs 'Burning Series' – a monthly D&B / Breakbeat night famous since 2008 in Russia for its homely atmosphere and vinyl sets. Impish's discography includes releases on esteemed labels such as Hospital Records, RAM Records, and CIA. Notable tracks like ‘Truth Is’, ‘Hive’ (taken from NFS:heat ost), ’Leave’ and ‘I Need’ highlight his ability to combine soulful melodies with intricate drum patterns, earning him recognition from both peers and listeners. His collaboration with Shawn Sanderson on Take Back / Lazy Sundayz further exemplifies his versatility and commitment to pushing the boundaries of dnb. As a DJ, Impish has performed at various events, delivering sets that reflect his deep understanding of the genre's roots and its evolving landscape.
