Experimental artists treat electronic music as a research practice — modular systems, unconventional structures, and sound sources that have no dancefloor obligation. These are producers working in experimental electronic music today.

The Experimental Sound

Experimental work is judged on the idea and its execution rather than on genre conventions. Process is often audible: the character of a specific instrument, a self-imposed constraint, or a system left to run. Nothing here is required to resolve.
