
Illyus Barrientos is a Glasgow-born DJ and producer known for his raw, percussive house sound and high-energy performances. With releases on Toolroom, Defected and Nervous Records, he has built a reputation for delivering club-focused records that balance groove, soul and impact. He began the year with the Toolroom hit Deep Down, following the underground success of his former NO.ID exclusive People’s Prty, which gained support from Carl Cox, Chris Lake and Hot Since 82. His music has also received backing from FISHER, Mark Knight and Armand Van Helden. Illyus has delivered official remixes for artists including Duke Dumont, Dom Dolla, Purple Disco Machine and Sonny Fodera, further establishing his sound across underground and mainstream dance floors. As a DJ, he has performed at globally recognised clubs and festivals including Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Printworks, Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa Ibiza, CRSSD Festival and Splash House, alongside headline shows across Europe and North America including PRYSM Nightclub. Alongside touring and production, he works as an A&R for Electronic Nature and hosts Toolroom Radio. His collaborative catalogue includes A-Trak, Gene Farris, Danny Howard and Marshall Jefferson, reflecting his ability to move between underground credibility and global reach.
