

Nico Zam is a Chilean jazz musician, producer, saxophonist, and performer blending jazz, hip hop, minimal, and house music, with a focus on creating elegant music for the dancefloor. His sound is shaped by live saxophone improvisation, deep harmonies, and atmospheric textures, often combined with a strong philosophical narrative. He has performed with Newen Afrobeat and draws influence from artists such as John Zorn (Masada), Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane, and Don Cherry, among others from the jazz tradition. Deeply inspired by nature, he finds a strong creative connection through activities such as surfing and climbing, which influence the flow and energy of his music. He has released music through Compost Records and Liztomania, developing a unique identity between refined club music and introspective soundscapes. Based in Chile.
