Spartaque is a Ukrainian DJ and producer based in Barcelona: two decades of dance music output and one of the most recognizable independent label brands in the European scene. Born and raised in Kharkiv, Vitalii Babiy started producing as a teenager and broke through in 2005 with his first official release. His combative, bass-led approach to club music made him a regular on the Eastern European festival circuit early (Global Gathering, KaZantip, Love Parade), and over the following years he built a body of work that crossed three hundred releases on more than eighty labels. In parallel with the touring schedule, he built IAMT Music Group from the ground up. What started as a single imprint has grown into a multi-label operation that today houses Codex Recordings, his flagship label and the home of his most ambitious A&R work, alongside the sister labels IAMT and IAMT Red. Codex has hosted releases from a roster that has shaped the modern peak-time sound, while remaining tightly curated under Spartaque's own ear. His current focus is on the next chapter of the project: releases built around physicality and club function, designed for the main rooms of festivals and Ibiza-grade clubs. The 2026 release schedule on Codex includes the singles "Nox" with Paula van Klar, "The Way We Do" and "Bailar La Noche". Spartaque continues to perform across Europe, the Americas, and the CIS.
