TOKYO ROSE is a US electronic music artist who emerged in early 2014 with the release of the Outrun EP, “Chases.” Known for blending cinematic synthwave, dark electronic production, and cyberpunk-inspired aesthetics, TOKYO ROSE quickly became a recognizable name within the evolving outrun and darkwave scene. Through collaborations with Scottish-born producer ALEX, TOKYO ROSE helped shape the darker, more aggressive direction of modern synthwave on releases such as “Akuma” and “Akuma II.” The projects gained significant traction across both Billboard and Bandcamp charts, with “Akuma” reaching #15 on Billboard and “Akuma II” reaching #5. Over the years, TOKYO ROSE has collaborated with artists including F.O.O.L., Power Glove, Essenger, Waveshaper, Pylot, Owl Vision, and Jonny Craig, while also contributing music featured in Rocket League, Asphalt 8, and CSI: Las Vegas. Their music has additionally been supported by personalities such as Dr Disrespect. With a sound that fuses retro-futuristic atmosphere, heavy electronic production, and cinematic storytelling, TOKYO ROSE continues to push the boundaries of darkwave and modern electronic music through both music and the expanding Danger City universe.
