Founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett, Rob Mitchell and Rob Gordon, Warp Records grew from a record shop into one of the most influential independent labels in electronic music. Home to Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Oneohtrix Point Never, Arca, Kelela and Nala Sinephro, Warp helped define IDM and forward-thinking electronic music, and remains a byword for artist-led experimentation.
