George Clinton's nephew Sa'd 'The Hourchild' Ali (Sa'D Ali) and Chuck ‘Da Fonk’ Fishman met in the mid-’90s as touring members of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. With the addition of 8-time Grammy-nominated producer Written By G Koop the trio became FSQ, a production team committed to creating original funk of supreme quality. In the years to follow, Boston-based guitarist Chas Bronz, Philadelphia drummer One Era, and New York audio engineer Morgan Wiley joined FSQ. You’ll find the majority of their original songs and remixes on Soul Clap Records along with FSQ’s 2020 Reprise Tonight - the group’s debut LP. Presented as a tale of having one last party in the span of 24 hours, features guest appearances from funk royalty, including George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Nona Hendryx, Fonda Rae, Denise King, and Dolette McDonald. In 2022, FSQ released a funked-up remix album for their debut record, aptly titled Reprise Reprise Tonight.
