Josh Byrne is a longtime devotee of house music. His sound pays tribute to the records that he grew up on: from the raw, jackin’ rhythms of Chicago to the funky, filtered house from Paris. He first made his mark as part of the duos T.U.R.F. and Sudden Moves, releasing chart-topping records on respected labels including Robsoul, Exploited, Nervous, Too Many Rules, and SlothBoogie. His productions have earned support from influential names such as Disclosure, A-Trak, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, and Jamie Jones. Now performing solo, Josh channels the chopped-up rhythms and filtered sounds of the late ‘90s and early ‘00s house, reframed with his own modern touch. As a DJ, he draws from a vast archive built over more than twenty years of digging, crafting sets full of warmth, groove, and unmistakable funk for every dancefloor.
