Axel Karakasis is one of the most recognisable Greek names in techno. Active since the late ’90s, he built his reputation through powerful DJ sets, a distinctive groovy techno sound and releases on labels such as Intec, Primate, Planet Rhythm, Kombination Research and MB Elektronics. His music has been supported worldwide and featured in compilations including Ministry of Sound, Cream Ibiza and I Love Techno. As a DJ, Axel has performed across Europe and beyond, with appearances at clubs and festivals including Rex Club, Womb Tokyo, Turnmills, Awakenings, Apokalypsa and Rabac Festival. He is also the founder of Remain Records, a label that has hosted music by Axel himself alongside many respected techno artists. Always faithful to techno, Axel continues to deliver fresh, energetic and forward-thinking sounds built for the dancefloor.
