Biography
Casmalia is a Los Angeles-based producer, DJ, songwriter, and live vocalist who has become a force within the West Coast house scene. A classically trained musician with a degree in audio engineering, she has been crafting club-ready records since her 2017 debut EP on Hood Politics Records. Since then, she has released music with Insomniac Records, mau5trap, CUFF, Night Bass, Club Sweat, Box of Cats, IN/ROTATION, Farris Wheel, and more, steadily building a reputation for bass-driven, percussion-rich productions that move between minimal, melodic, and groove-forward territory. Her momentum has translated far beyond the studio. Casmalia was named one of 2022’s Artists to Watch by both Nightenjin and EDM Identity, and appeared as one of Beatport’s On Our Radar artists in August 2025. In November 2025, her single “Don’t Tell Me How To Rave” became the #1 trending track across all genres on SoundCloud in the United States for a full week, earning a Times Square billboard campaign sponsored by SoundCloud. Supported by heavyweights including David Guetta, John Summit, Patrick Topping, FISHER, Solomun, AC Slater, Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, and Marco Carola, Casmalia’s rise accelerated following her widely acclaimed 2021 release “Four Letter Word” on the mau5trap/Insomniac Records compilation.
