Cinthie is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, label owner and record-store owner, and one of the most in-demand selectors in contemporary house. Dubbed by many the "Berlin Queen of House," she has spent the last decade building a touring schedule that takes her across Europe, Asia and the Americas, to clubs and festivals including Berghain | Panorama Bar, fabric, Amnesia Ibiza, Hï Ibiza, Sub Club, Dekmantel and Defected Croatia.

Her authority comes from the records. Cinthie has been collecting vinyl since 1995, and her knowledge of house music's foundations is second to none — sets that plot lines between the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago and the energy of Berlin. They are stripped back and emotive, deep or vocal, and always married to an irresistible groove. Boiler Room, DJ Mag and Defected have all handed her the booth for exactly that reason.

In the studio she has mastered the art of making maximum impact from bare musical essentials. For more than twenty years her timeless house has come out on labels including Aus Music, Heist Recordings, Shall Not Fade, Ostgut Ton, Crosstown Rebels, Poker Flat and Armada Music, alongside her own 803 Crystal Grooves. In 2020 that run gave rise to her debut album, Skylines — City Lights, and in 2022 she delivered a DJ-Kicks mix — a series that shaped her own listening in the nineties, and one she has called a bucket-list moment.

House music is not known for its live shows, and less so for female live artists. Cinthie has taken her machines on the road anyway, to events like Sónar and MUTEK. Off-stage she runs 803 Crystal Grooves and its Collective Cuts showcase for new producers, co-runs we_r house, and owns Elevate.Berlin, where every record on the shelf is picked by her. That realness has always been synonymous with proper house music — and it is what sets Cinthie apart.
